📋 How Scoring Works
Bracket-style picks: predict group standings (1st-4th), pick which 8 third-placed teams advance, then pick winners through R32, R16, QF, SF, and the Final. Locked once tournament starts. Scoring is advancement-based — for each round, you get points for every team in your bracket that actually made it to that round.

Note on the bracket: The Round of 32 uses FIFA's official pairing template (group winners face 3rd-placers from specific candidate groups; runners-up face each other in fixed pairings). Once group stage results are official, the actual bracket is determined by FIFA's full lookup table. Your predicted bracket may not exactly match the real bracket, but that's fine — scoring just checks whether each team you placed in a round actually made that round.
